About
The Eastern Africa Editors Society (EAES) is an umbrella body bringing together editor organizations in Eastern Africa, and collaborating with relevant organizations for the advancement of media freedom and excellence in journalism.
Member Organizations
It is registered under the Societies Act in Kenya and has its headquarters in Nairobi.
Governance
EAES has three main structures; the Annual General Meeting held every May, the Council, and the Secretariat. The Council comprises the heads of the Editors’ Guilds and Forums of the members. Currently, the presidency resides with the Uganda Editors’ Guild.
